Are government employees arrogant, clueless about the economy, ignorant or self-centered?

It is amazing how many times I hear news stories about government employees threatening or going on strike. Don't they realize that there are thousands of people that would love those jobs. The latest is the BART strike in the San Francisco/Oakland Bay Area. These jobs pay $60,000 or more per year and only require a high school diploma. Oh, and do not have to pay anything towards their pension plan. One lady who is a ticket person that sits behind a window made $119,000 last year by working overtime. I say fire all of these lazy a$$es and give their jobs to the Google & Yahoo employees who have been layoff. Besides from have people that can talk in complete sentences, these people will actually look for ways to improve the system. I am very frustrated with the attitudes of most government works!!!!
