Convince my parents to let me get a sugar glider?

Ok, so I REALLY want a sugar glider. I've done my homework and I'm sure I can take care of one. The only problem is my mom refuses to let me get one. My dad is cool if I can convince her, but obviously that's not going to great. I'm going to cover all the expenses myself. I've promised her I would take care of it and keep it my room so she wouldn't even have to see it, but she's not budging. Any ideas???
