Do dogs sulk and hold grudges?

I've just come back from a week long holiday and i'm sure my dog is sulking with me. He's a friendly boy and generally doesn't mind where his attention comes from as long as he gets lots. Surely he should be happy to see me rather than walking round with the long face (tee hee).
