You can see if he will eat veggies while hiding. You can hand feed him veggies while hes in his cage. You can talk to him. You need to get him a buddy. Guinea pigs are social herd animals and need to be in pairs. Getting him a buddy will help him bond to you. Guinea pigs feel more comfortable and safe in pairs.
